Golsa was born and raised in Kerman- a small city in southwest of Iran. After immigrating to the U.S, she moved to California. Golsa went to Irvine Valley college and then transferred to UC Berkeley where she joined Prof. John Hartwig’s lab and worked with Dr. Masha Elkin on hydroformylation and borylation reactions. Golsa graduated in December 2021 but continued her research until August 2022. Afterwards, Golsa moved to Pasadena to start her PhD studies at Caltech and joined Reisman lab! In her free time, Golsa enjoys hiking, writing poetry, and playing board games with friends and family!
